Tarang Joseph fuses old-school R&B, funk and disco into something entirely his own — groove-driven, cinematic, unapologetically modern. A hyperreal world of fantasy and escapism, powered by infectious basslines and funky breakdowns.

Tarang Joseph portrait

Singer-pianist and songwriter, Tarang Joseph blends old-school R&B, funk and disco with a distinctly modern flair. Drawing inspiration from legends like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Jamiroquai — but delivered in his own distinct style.

Built on groove-centric soundscapes and cinematic visuals, his music paints a hyperreal world of fantasy and escapism, driven by infectious basslines, funky breakdowns and performances that hit hard in the studio and even harder live.

With over 400 live shows under his belt — having begun performing at the age of 13 — Tarang’s musical process is rooted in a live-centric, free-flowing improvised environment.

After packing rooms across India on The Liquid Sunshine Tour and performing at major festivals like Echoes of Earth, Tarang and his four-piece band have established themselves as one of India’s freshest-sounding and most exciting live acts.
